Dying eggs makes for a great addition to your matter unit. So glad I did this hands-on moment. 2 students had never dyed eggs before. Great day of learning!

Diary of a Worm
Every year as spring approaches, the class and I have a little fun loving on worms. They are vital to a healthy flower bed or garden. What a better tie to appreciate them than the spring.

Continuing with the study of matter, Ms. Hill, our student teacher, made play-doh with the class. What a fun morning!
Water Color Writing with Susan Antonelli
It is always fun to have a special guest teach for you. Susan Antonelli taught students water color techniques, then they painted a scene that represented something that they had done. After the paintings dried, they wrote stories about the scene.
Solids, Liquids, Gases... OH! MY!
Using butter, chocolate, Peeps, & dry ice, students experienced all 3 states of matter. Of course, we ate a little bit too!
