Every Wednesday in my class, students become the teachers during our partner practice reading time. For 15 minutes, students read with a friend and give them advice on how to make it better. They practice fluency, expression, and comprehension. They ask their partner questions about their reading and encourage each other when they do great work. I love this time each week because the kids are so good at it! Of course, it took a few weeks to get it down back at the beginning of school, but now they are in a groove! So proud of how they are growing this year!
